I will explain here my first steps with this unsual photographic technique that allow me to realize my first Timigraphies. I have since refined my approach and transposed this technique in the digital world. In the following description I use my first SLR camera wich dates from the mid-80s, a Pentax P30, but whatever the film camera the approach remains the same. |
In 10 minutes you can take your first shots. However, it will need several tests with this technique to obtain a suitable exposure. |

Je vais vous expliquer ici mes premiers pas avec cette technique photographique qui m'a permis de réaliser mes permières Timigraphies. J'ai depuis perfectionné mon approche et transposé cette technique dans le monde numérique. Dans la description qui va suivre j'utilise mon premier appareil photo reflex qui date du milieu des années 80, un Pentax P30 mais peu importe l'appareil argentique l'approche reste identique Dans 10 minutes vous pourrez faire vos premiers clichés. Il vous faudra néanmoins plusieurs essais avec cette technique pour obtenir une exposition adaptée. |

 Cut a small slice of paper to let the light going throughDécouper une fente la plus fine possible (suivant l’effet que vous voulez réaliser) |
 Stick the black rectangle above the shutter of your cameraColler ce rectangle noir derrière l'obturateur de votre appareil photo |

 Insert the film. Close your camera and take pictures in a black room with your cap on till the end of the film without exposing the film to any lightInsérer la pellicule. Refermer le boitier et prenez des photos dans une pièce noire en concervant votre cache sur l'objectif afin de faire avancer le film jusqu'au bout sans exposer la pelicule |
 Unlock the rewind button but do not rewinding the entire film yet. Put your camera on a tripodDébrayer l'armement comme si vous vous apprétiez à rembobiner la pellicule pour la donner à développer. Mettez votre appareil sur un pied |
 Tune your camera on the B button, remove the cap and rewind your film with a constant speed to expose your film to the light. You can do it manualy or with a small engineRégler votre appareil sur B (comme pour une pause très longue avec un déclencheur flexible idéalement), enlever le cache de votre objectif et enrouler votre pellicule de manière constante pour l’exposer. Soit à la main soit grâce à un petit moteur. |
